Much more to your mail

I can’t believe some of the comments against Royal Mail workers who have announced strikes for better pay and conditions (Your Voice, November 21).

My husband and I both worked for the postal service and people don’t realise it’s not just the postie walking around the streets. The mail and packages have to be picked and sorted, which takes hours of work before they even get to the streets. Not just one street, posties cover large areas with heavy bags, all while some of us are still in bed. People should think before they comment. Marion Minshall
