FROM JOHN CROSS in Doha

HARRY KANE has given England a major World Cup boost after declaring himself fit after an injury scare.

England captain Kane (above) set alarm bells ringing after being sent for a scan on his right ankle following a whack in the opening group-match win over Iran.

But he took part in training yesterday and medical staff are confident he will be fit to face the United States tomorrow.

Harry Maguire will also be available following his substitution against

Iran after complaining of feeling unwell.

England defender Kyle

Walker said: “He is good.

Obviously, the lads that have played the other day have done a more relaxed training session than us that have not been involved.”

Three Lions keeper

Jordan Pickford added: “I think he’s good. He will probably be a bit sore but I think he’s fine, he’s out on the grass with us today and that’s good. He’s our captain and he’s fine.”

Kane came into the tournament in top form and revealed he has been working with a fitness specialist to help him avoid a recurrence of his previous ankle issues.
