World Cup fans flag up their allegiance
THERE’S no need to ask “who are ya?”… World Cup fans wear their hearts on their sleeves – and everywhere else – as they cheer on their teams in Qatar.
A Dutch woman leaves no room for doubt by wearing a horned hat with plaits, bearing the words of footie song Hup Holland, and a mask with a huge orange tongue.
Senegal fans spelled out their own support, seven pals lining up with a letter of their country’s name on each torso in green body paint.
Two US fans dressed as an eagle and Wonder Woman, and Japanese fans wore red noses with white-painted faces to resemble their flag as they cleaned up against Germany. Some later went on to clean up the stadium, too. One said: “We can’t leave a place without making it clean.”
