- BY DAVE BURKE

RELATIVES of Covid victims who have given evidence to the upcoming inquiry say they have been sickened by former Health Secretary Matt Hancock appearing on I’m A Celebrity...get Me Out of Here!.

Tiffany Jones, 42, of Portsmouth, Hants, lost her dad Colin to the virus days before Christmas in 2020.

She told the Mirror: “I can’t understand why he’s there, his mistakes cost the lives of thousands. It’s dancing on their graves. It’s hard to see him making jokes. It turns the death of all those people into a farce.”

Jean Adamson, pictured right, whose dad Aldrick died at his London care home after catching Covid in April 2020, said: “We want him to focus on supporting the inquiry and telling the truth.”

Elena Ciesco, whose former NHS worker dad

Luigi died aged 79 after contracting Covid in hospital in Surrey, said: “I can’t believe ITV gave him that contract. I hope there are repercussions for his actions.”

Jamie Mawson’s dad Richard died weeks after attending a Champions League clash between Liverpool and Atletico Madrid at Anfield in March 2020. Around 3,000 Spanish fans were allowed in despite their home city being in lockdown – a decision Jamie believes cost his dad his life. He said: “I’m surprised the British public have kept Hancock in – it’s a disgrace.”
