love to see Owen win. I think he’s a courageous young man and he’s so cool. I really do like him.”

Baba, who was evicted from camp on Wednesday, said lasting 19 days on the show has helped him feel accepted.

The Celebrity Gogglebox star added: “Growing up in Tottenham wasn’t easy and I saw a lot of bad things.

“But I love the fact I’m from a place like that, being Nigerian, being black – always loved it. I just wasn’t sure if everybody else did. But being on a show like this and Gogglebox has shown me that I don’t need to hide who I am.

“I’m grateful the British public embraced me. I never thought that would be possible because it was only two years ago I was working as a CSA [customer service assistant] behind a desk.” He is now looking forward to spending time with his six-year-old son Judah.

Baba said: “I didn’t grow up with my dad so I never got taught the things I believe a dad should teach their children about life and being brave. “I definitely feel like even though it was a small time [on I’m A Celeb...] I can take this experience and teach my son about stepping into the unknown.” Baba said he considered quitting the show several times because it was harder than he expected and “there is no ‘can I have a biscuit?’ on the side”.

On the scandal that forced fellow contestant Matt Hancock to quit as Health Secretary last year, he said: “I spoke to him about how disappointed I was at how much he messed up.”

Baba, who has been enjoying chips and prosecco since being evicted, added: “I wanted him to be comfortable with being teased... He’s a good sport.”

Last night Chris Moyles became the sixth celebrity to be voted off the show by viewers.
