Met officer faces more rape charges
AN ARMED police officer has been charged with further sex attacks on a 13th woman.
PC David Carrick, 47, served with the Metropolitan Police’s elite Parliamentary and Diplomatic Protection Command.
He is due to appear in court next week regarding nine additional offences: six counts of rape, one count of false imprisonment, one of indecent assault and possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
The charges all relate to a 13th alleged victim from 2003. Carrick now faces a total of 53 charges.
A police spokesman said: “We recognise that these are extremely serious and concerning allegations.” Carrick continues to be remanded in custody.
