Miedema to rescue

VIVIANNE MIEDEMA marked her return to Arsenal’s starting line-up by securing a draw at Juventus in the Champions League group stages.

The Gunners remain top of Group C with seven points from their three games. But they were thankful to grab a point at the Allianz Stadium without injured Beth Mead.

Juventus took the lead six minutes into the second half as Lineth Beerensteyn showed her composure to finish low past Arsenal keeper Manuela Zinsberger.

But just 10 minutes later, Miedema rose highest to head home from a Frida Maanum corner.
