Marionette lines These lines give you a sour look, turning down the corners of your mouth.

The name comes from marionette puppets which have obvious vertical lines in the same place. Most of us get marionette lines as we age.

However, some people may be more prone to developing these lines sooner or have more visible, deeper lines.

Smokers and people who don’t use sun protection may get marionette lines early or have more prominent wrinkles.

Marionette lines typically appear at around the age of 40, but look closely and you may see them starting in your 20s and 30s.
