Labour call on PM to extend Raab bullying investigation
THE investigator probing Dominic Raab’s alleged bullying must be given more power, Labour said last night.
Lawyer Adam Tolley KC is looking at incidents during Mr Raab’s stints as Justice Secretary, Foreign Secretary and Brexit Secretary, dating back to 2018.
But the expert, appointed by
Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, can only extend his investigation to examine more complaints if the PM lets him. It comes despite a string of former colleagues preparing to lodge more complaints, the Mirror understands. Labour say Mr Tolley should have the power to investigate proactively. Deputy leader Angela Rayner said: “Rishi Sunak’s attempted stitch-up will fool no one.”
No10 said yesterday Mr Sunak has full confidence in Mr Raab, who denies bullying.
