RADIO DJ Chris Moyles has blasted MP Matt Hancock, branding him “fake” and saying he should be working instead of on a TV show.

Interviewed after he became the sixth campmate to leave the jungle, the 48-year-old said: “I was venting quite a lot when he first came in. He’s an MP and he’s paid to look after people and their interests and hopefully make

their lives better. And I don’t know how he does that by going on the jungle show.”

He also said the disgraced former Health Secretary, 44, had “dived around questions”.

Moyles said of the time Hancock asked for forgiveness: “I had to walk out of camp and just get away because I personally found that quite fake. And that really wound me up.”

Speaking on Radio X, where he normally presents the breakfast show, Moyles added: “I was also trying to get him to admit that he’s going to leave politics and not be an MP any more, but he never did.”

Last night a spokesman for Hancock said: “Matt has no intention of standing down.”

But questions still remain over how much of his reported £400,000 I’m A Celeb fee will go to charity. Moyles also admitted he stole some biscuits for his hungry fellow campmates after a trial but they were quickly confiscated by I’m A Celeb bosses.

Hancock and rugby union ace Mike Tindall last night earned four out of five possible meals in the Fallen Stars trial.

Tindall, 44, answered a series of quiz questions, earning time for Hancock to piece together broken bits of star.
