SON WON’T LET MASK BE EXCUSE
BY NEIL MOXLEY
HEUNG-MIN SON insists he is not hampered by having to be South Korea’s man in the mask.
The Spurs star (above) was a doubt for the World Cup after fracturing his eye socket during a Champions League clash against Marseille.
But the protective headgear has come to the rescue and Son came through a gritty goalless draw with Uruguay unscathed. He said: “I’m not the only one at this tournament wearing a mask. I’m comfortable and pleased I could play with it.
“It was a tough game, the Uruguay guys probably thought they should have won it. But this is a good point.”
