Duo injured in fall from ride

TWO people were taken to hospital after falling from a spinning ride at a Winter Wonderland fairground.

One eyewitness said she heard a “massive bang” before seeing “a lady on the floor” and “a second lady lodged between the ride and the railings”.

The pair came off the Ice Skater ride in Cardiff on Saturday, which will remain closed today as “a full investigation into the incident is taking place”.
