- BY AMY-CLARE MARTIN

TWO boys have been stabbed to death less than one mile apart.

Charlie Bartolo and Kearne Solanke, both 16, were found shortly after 5pm on Saturday.

Paramedics attended but both victims died from their injuries.

Detectives said the killings were linked.

They are looking for a dark-coloured SUV or 4x4 with silver roof bars.

Detective Supt Richard Mcdonagh said he was “outraged by the senseless murders” in Abbey Wood and nearby Thamesmead in South East London.

LINKED

He said: “Homicide colleagues are investigating and are treating the two murders as linked.”

Yesterday teenage boys left flowers and balloons by the police cordons.

The murders have shocked residents.

Teresa Cheshire, 50, said she heard screaming near the Thamesmead scene.

She said: “I’m frightened to let my kids outside now. It’s just shocking.” They are the 12th and 13th teenage murder victims in the capital this year.
