Spina bifida means “split spine” and it’s a fault in the development of the spinal cord and surrounding bones that leaves a gap or split in the spine.

Shine provides specialist support from before birth and throughout the life of anyone living with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus, as well as to parents, families, carers and professional care staff.

Shine enables sufferers to get the best out of life.
