PAUL DEVLIN said Kilcoo intend making the most of the good days because they can remember the bad ones.
The All-ireland champions are one game away from a
1-9 AIB Ulster SFC semi-final ORLA BANNON
hat-trick of Ulster club titles after swatting new Fermanagh challengers Enniskillen aside in the Athletic Grounds on Saturday night.
There were no celebrations among the players, who recently won a 10th Down title in 11 years.
Ace free-taker Devlin said: “It’s massive for the community and for ourselves to reach another Ulster final and these days don’t come around very often.
“We have worked so hard to establish ourselves and we want to stay at the top.
“There’s boys served over 20 years and remember the bad days so we want to make the most of these days.”
Two goals from Shealan Johnston settled Kilcoo, who led 2-8 to 0-1 at half time.
Enniskillen sub Eoin Beacom lit up the second half with 1-2 from play in the third quarter but Aaron
Morgan netted a third for Kilcoo.
Devlin added: “We got our scores on the board in the first half and keep a foothold on the game but we wouldn’t be totally happy and have picked out a few areas we need to improve upon for the final.”
