WE JUST GOT THE JOB DUN

Dungannon Swifts 1 Glenavon 0

TONY GORMAN says the Dungannon Swifts’ desire proved the difference as they picked up only their second win of the campaign on Saturday.

Rhyss Campbell’s second half strike sealed the win for the Swifts over Glenavon and their head coach told the BBC: “Our last four or five performances have been really good.

“We played Glentoran, Cliftonville and Larne and were very disappointed not to come away with anything.

“We had the same level of performance here but there was a desire to do whatever it took to get the three points.”

Elsewhere Glentoran got back to winning ways with a 2-0 victory at bottom club Portadown.

Sean Murray’s goal gave the Glens the advantage in first half stoppage time. Bobby Burns (above) made sure of the points with five minutes to go, bundling in from close range.

Cliftonville also recorded a 2-0 win at home to Newry City, with Ryan Curran and Joe Gormley on target.
