‘I’ll never forgive him for way my gran died alone’
A TEENAGER whose gran died alone in a care home after getting Covid has said she will never forgive Matt Hancock.
Maddie Mccarthy, 15, lost Patricia Gracias, 83, in May 2020 after an outbreak at her Manchester home – and was horrified to see the ex-health Secretary join I’m A Celebrity to “profit from what he’s done to bereaved families”.
She said: “I was disgusted because I never got the chance to say goodbye to my gran and never will, thanks to him.”
Maddie said Mr Hancock’s apology was “insincere” and “pathetic”, adding: “My gran died from Covid alone and on her birthday. I will never forgive him.”
