Isolation blitz on diphtheria

ASYLUM seekers with symptoms of diphtheria will be put into isolation after a rise in infections.

Immigration Minister Robert Jenrick told MPS last night those with signs will stay separated at the Manston centre in Kent or travel to a “designated isolation centre”.

Confirming an “increase” in cases of diphtheria in asylum seekers, the UK Health Security Agency said there were 50 from January 1 to November 25.
