Week THINGS TO DO THIS
I didn’t use a pillow as a child. Instead I would sleep on my old teddy, Diddy, long before rapper P Diddy briefly stole his name.
Diddy was a dark brown bear who lay on his front, so he made the perfect pillow for me.
I remember the top of his head got scorched on a three-bar heater when I sat too near it as a child – and nearly burned the house down.
Sadly I don’t have Diddy any more, otherwise I’d be entering him into the competition by children’s toy retailer,
The Kid Collective, to find the UK’S most loved cuddly toy. Based in Leicester, the toy company is looking for much-loved and dog-eared old teddy bears or baby dolls. They particularly want to hear from those with cuddly toys they’ve had since childhood, or those who have been passed down through generations. Entries close at midnight on Monday December 5, and the winner gets a £50 voucher to spend at The Kid Collective ahead of Christmas.
