Cllr Pride jibe code breach

A FORMER TUV councillor has admitted breaching a code of conduct after saying she hoped rain at an LGBT Pride march “soaks them through to the skin”.

Ruth Wilson made the remarks on Facebook in 2018 when she was a councillor on Mid and East Antrim Borough Council.

A complaint was made to the local government standards watchdog and an adjudication hearing on Monday found she failed in her duty to understand and comply with the code.
