Give health staff lifeline

-

NO NHS worker wants to go on strike.

They have been driven to this situation out of despair at the state of the health service.

They have watched patients being let down because of cuts to services and they have witnessed their colleagues leave for better paid and less stressful jobs elsewhere.

Tory ministers should not be surprised ambulance workers and call handlers in England are set to join nurses by taking industrial action.

These frontline workers have been stretched to breaking point because of staff shortages and delays to response times.

If the Government genuinely cared about their plight they would not be offering them a 4% pay rise at a time when inflation is 11.1%.

Health workers deserve better and patients deserve better.
