Rod’s agony after losing brother Bob
SIR Rod Stewart has told of his sadness after the death of his second brother in less than three months.
Yesterday he posted on Instagram: “It’s with great sadness that I announce the loss of my brother Bob, who joins my brother Don on the great football pitch in the sky.
“I’ve lost two of my best mates in the space of two months. RIP Don and Bob ‘irreplaceable buddies’.”
The rocker, 77, is the youngest of five children, Mary, Don, Peggy and Bob, who was 88.
Don died in September, aged 94, and Rod’s only surviving sibling is Mary.
He said of his siblings in 2019: “They were instrumental in supporting me, helping me get into music and being there for me.”
