Shop tokens are favourite fail-safe for Xmas pressie

THEY say it is better to give than to receive... but buying presents is the most difficult Christmas task.

Almost half of us have a hard time working out what to put under the tree for our loved ones – and 59% feel stressed about it this year, according to research.

So it is good to know the failsafe gifts we love to receive, from cotton PJS to perfume or a big box of posh chocolates.

But the Homesense survey proves you cannot go wrong with a gift card for someone’s favourite shop – or an envelope full of cash.
