Just after 7pm on November 28, 2004, the young banker and father was brutally executed on his own doorstep, shot three times at point blank range in a seemingly motiveless assassination. Despite one of the biggest police manhunts ever launched in Scotland, Alistair’s murder remains unsolved.

This documentary retraces every step of the case, from the killer’s arrival at the Wilson house that evening, right through to the present police investigation.

Using extensive archive and drama reconstruction, the film examines the unique peculiarities of this story.

From the blue envelope handed to Alistair by the killer, with the name Paul on it, to a dispute with a pub landlord and the use of a 1920s pistol as the murder weapon, every strand of evidence is put under the microscope.
