MANUAL BOX FOR M4 CSL

This is a car that will have BMW fans foaming with excitement. It’s the M4 CSL, a low volume extreme version of the current M4 that follows in a tradition of CSL models that goes back to the 1970s. Only 1,000 cars will be built and only 100 will come to the UK.

Featuring a weight saving of 100kg thanks to a plethora of carbon parts and other special bits, including bespoke centre-lock forged alloy wheels, the M4 CSL also has an extra 40bhp making a total of 542bhp. Good news also is that the car is fitted with a six-speed manual gearbox which is something that’s not available in the regular M4.

No doubt BMW will have no problem shifting all 100 cars even if they do cost £128,820 a pop. It’s quite likely that one of these cars, if really well looked after and driven rarely, will be a good long-term investment.
