ASTRAS ON THE CHARGE

-

You’re looking at the electrified versions of the Vauxhall Astra and Astra Sports Tourer. The hatchback will be in dealers from June 2023 and the estate will arrive a bit later.

The Sports Tourer, or estate, will be a particularly interesting arrival because at the moment there are only two fully electric estate cars on sale and they’re the MG5 and Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo.

That said, the electric Peugeot 308 SW estate is also coming next year so that’ll make four EV estates.

Both hatchback and estate use a 114kw electric motor and 54kwh battery to give an official range of 258 miles between charges. Both also support 100kw charging so can be charged to 80% in only 30 minutes.

No word on prices, which isn’t surprising as new car prices seem to rise every month. We’ll let you know as soon as Vauxhall announces them.
