Think of big picture on ID

Never having had either a driving licence or passport, I’ve never had a need for photo ID. The requirement for this for local and national elections is flawed and reeks of Tory gerrymandering again to stop certain groups of people voting.

It isn’t as though there aren’t other choices – a birth certificate, tax bill, utility bill or even a NI number on official documentation are just as valid.
