Dancing to victory

THE Gordon Elliott-trained Liberty Dance (above), dropping from Grade 3 company, is a hopeful nap choice in today’s Racing December 18th Irish EBF Mares Maiden Hurdle in Thurles.

Winner of two bumpers, at Fairyhouse and Naas, she finished a close third to Lily Du Berlais in a Grade 2 at Leopardstown in February and made a pleasing start over hurdles in the Grade 3 won by Magical Zoe in Down Royal four weeks ago.

She held every chance before making an error at the second last and faded to be beaten less than nine lengths. And, with that experience under her belt, she should be tough to beat here.
