Marvin Humes on having his wife act as his manager
EXCLUSIVE MARVIN Humes says his wife Rochelle is definitely the boss in their relationship – and now she is taking charge of his career too.
Marvin, 39, became a client of her management company the RH Group last year. And This Morning presenter Rochelle, 35, says: “No one is ever going to have his back like me.”
Marvin agrees that the management set-up is working well, adding: “Roch was always the boss anyway so it’s no different now. On a serious note though, we’ve always discussed our careers and made decisions together, so it makes no difference.
“I don’t think about the mechanics of it, it just works. We are still married so we must be doing something right.
“Plus we make more money if we keep it in the family.”
Rochelle and Marvin, who wed in 2012, could be followed into showbiz by their three children Alaia-mai, 11, Valle, seven, and Blake, three.
PASSION
Speaking at the Radio Academy ARIAS awards ceremony on Tuesday, Marvin said: “My two girls go to dance school and love that.
“Valle just did a Les Mis solo at the school the other day and she’s only seven, so who knows? If they show passion for it and enjoy it, why not?”
Marvin and Rochelle started as pop stars, he in JLS and she in The Saturdays, and both have become TV stars.
Marvin’s career has included a stint on I’m A Celebrity last year, Rochelle helps host Ninja Warrior and both were at the Mirror’s Pride of Britain awards in 2022.
Marvin is a radio DJ too, and says that his move to a daytime show on KISS means he can spend more time with his family. He says: “Between Roch and I we are really busy.
“But the kids are always our priority. I get to do the school run, go to work, and then pick the kids up.”
Rochelle, who also has her own baby skincare and haircare brand My Little Coco, set up the RH Group last year. She says of the staff: “There are so many moving parts to make this happen, I couldn’t do a quarter of it without my gang. What an incredible bunch of women I have in my corner.
“Celebrating the wins is something we have got so much better at. I never want to not feel grateful for it.”
