US rapper in UK entry ban

US rapper Tyler, The Creator, has been banned from the UK over his violent and antihomosexual lyrics.

The 24-year-old, due to appear at this weekend’s Leeds and Reading Festivals, said the ban, imposed by Home Secretary Theresa May was “based on lyrics from 2009”.

The Home Office said: “We expect those coming here to respect our values.”
