MOSSY GETS ROLE WITH SPICE GIRL EMMA AND LULU

-

Kate Moss has an exciting new project to take her mind off her break-up from hubby Jamie Hince. 3am can reveal the supermodel, 41, will def be taking part in the new Absolutely Fabulous movie – and filming will kick off next month at London Fashion week.

Fashionistas will have to compete with Ab Fab characters Eddie Monsoon, played by Jennifer Saunders, and Patsy Stone ( Joanna Lumley) who’ll be let loose, in all their cray clobber, on the catwalk shows.

A similar stunt worked brilliantly for the Zoolander sequel.

Other celebs making a cameo in the Fab flick include Spice Girl Emma Bunton and singer Lulu.

Ab Fab star and scriptwriter Jennifer, 57, tells 3a 3am: “I can confirm Kate does have a part. It’s not yet decided whether she’ll have a speaking part but she’ll definitely be in it.”

Kate was a hit when she had a cameo on the series in 2012 and Jennifer adds: “She’s a big fan of the show and we’re pals so, aside fr from the fact she’s the definitive model, it was a no-brainer.

“There’ll also be a bit of Spice with Emma Bunton and Lulu.

“I’ve only just got the green light so I’m still tweaking the script. And I’m trying not to over-egg it.”

Speaking at the McQueen launch at London’s Theatre Royal Haymarket on Thursday, Jennifer confirms: “We’ll be recording at London Fashion Week and weave it into the finished product.”

3am also overheard Kelly Hoppen, interior designer to stars including Victoria Beckham and Simon Cowell, trying to blag a cameo. Blimey, it’ll be a celeb free-for-all at this rate. Carl Barat says he does not regret giving Pete Doherty the cold shoulder while the rocker dated Kate Moss.

Pete, 36, went out with Mossy, 41, for two years from 2005, after The Libertines split up.

Now Carl, 37, says it was “a pain in the ass”.

He reveals: “It was always in my face. That was what p***** me off. Obviously I had some deep concern for him but I was convinced that what I did was the right thing.

“We did get together a few times, as friends.

“I went round to Kate’s one time and [folk guitarist] Bert Jansch turned up, which was weird.”

Now The Libertines are back and preparing to headline the Reading and Leeds Festivals tonight. They will perform tracks from their brilliant Anthems For Doomed Youth album.

Carl recalls being “a kid of 16 in the mud at Reading, looking up at that stage and seeing Rage Against The Machine”. He says: “It started my journey. So it means so much to me to headline Reading.”

Good luck, fellas.

South London ravers now have the option of a South West More afterparty tomorrow night with host Maya Jane Coles, George FitzGerald and Mano Le Tough at the Electric Brixton in London.
