BECKY’S HEAD FOUND IN PLASTIC ASDA BAG
THE sawn-off head and body parts of murdered Becky Watts were discovered inside plastic bags hidden in a shed, a court heard yesterday.
The schoolgirl, 16, suffered up to 40 injuries fighting for life as she was being suffocated by her killer, the jury was told.
A forensic pathologist said her head was in an Asda carrier and her torso in a bag reading “It’s My Birthday – Wacky Warehouse”.
Relatives wept as a policeman told of his grim discovery inside a windowless garden shed at the Bristol home of two suspects.
Det Sgt John Dowding said he saw several containers and opened a large case with another officer.
“It held plastic bags with parcels inside,” he went on. “We unwrapped a smaller one and after two to three clingfilm layers found a human right hand, severed at the wrist with the fist clenched.”
