KP: I AM HAPPY TO HELP

-

KEVIN PIETERSEN has performed a U-turn and offered to help the England team after initially rejecting an approach.

Pietersen baulked at the idea of advising the one-day side when Andrew Strauss asked him for input in May.

That response came in the wake of being told his England career was over.

But asked again for his thoughts on helping, he told the BBC: “Of course I would. I haven’t got a clue if I will be asked but I don’t worry about it.”

Yet Pietersen (above) believes that current players are scared to contact him for advice because he remains public enemy No.1.

He added: “It is a sad, sad state the messages I receive from some of the players are that it is difficult for them to ask me questions and advice because they fear they might get into trouble.”
