ITV, 9pm He’s been in blockbusters including Star Wars and the Harry Potter films and starred alongside Hollywood’s Jennifer Aniston and Val Kilmer. But for many of us, it was his part in Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant’s mockumentary Life’s Too Short that put Warwick Davis firmly on our radar.
As well as being a fine actor it was then the dad-of-two showcased his dry wit and ability to send himself up, which TV producers were quick to pounce on.
Since then he’s rarely been off our screens and been everything from a documentary presenter to chat show host as well as fronting his own game show and travel series.
But while he is now enjoying the perks of success, it’s been a tough slog to get there. Born in Surrey in 1970 and measuring 3ft6ins due to a rare bone condition, Warwick opens up to Piers about the struggles he’s faced and the heartbreak he and wife Sam endured following the death of their first son Lloyd at just nine days.
His positivity and determination to succeed against the odds shine through as he talks about his career and his daily challenges – including the perils of supermarket shopping and airline travel.
