Heat record a hot favourite
THE barbecue weather over the Bank Holiday weekend is set to continue as the odds are cut on this being the hottest August ever.
Temperatures reached 23.2C yesterday afternoon in South West London – and bookmakers are predicting a further rise this week.
Ladbrokes has odds of 2/1 that 30C will be recorded before Sunday and Coral offers 7/4 on August being the hottest on record.
Alex Donohue, of Ladbrokes, said: “The odds of the mercury soaring a final time have been slashed.”
