Kids go top for ‘hot’ teacher
STUDENTS do better in exams if their teacher is attractive, a test has shown.
More than 130 college youngsters had to listen to an audio lecture while they looked at a picture of a teacher in front of them.
One part of the group was shown a physically attractive tutor while others were given one who was less so. The students then took a test and those with the goodlooking lecturer scored higher than the rest.
Prof Murray Miller, of the University of Nevada, USA, said: “This indicates physical attractiveness may play a previously overlooked role in classroom learning.”
