HOME ROAD FROM KOP
MARIO BALOTELLI has been urged to quit Liverpool for Palermo. The Italian club have made an offer to the 26-year-old, rivalling the proposals from French club Nice and Swiss outfit FC Sion.
Balotelli (right), born in Palermo, has a year left on his contract at Anfield but has been told to go by boss Jurgen Klopp.
Liverpool will have to subsidise his £90,000-a-week wages or persuade him to take a pay-cut.
But sporting director Daniele Faggiano said: “Palermo could be just the right place for him to relaunch his career.”
