Murphy flaw over Aguero

-

PUNDITS who preach to the nation from BBC’s Match of the Day sofa have a duty to tell it like it is.

Danny Murphy (left) is normally an excellent, articulate guide through the muck and nettles of controversy, but his analysis of Sergio Aguero’s elbow on West Ham’s Winston Reid was toe-curling.

Come off it, Danny: Don’t insult viewers’ intelligence by pretending that was only worth a yellow card just because Aguero would miss the Manchester derby if he incurred a ban.

ONLY in the glorified trade show of Formula One could you get a 55-place penalty in a 22-car race and pretend justice was done.

Armed with the fastest car, predictably Lewis Hamilton’s relegation to the back of the grid at the Belgian Grand Prix didn’t last long.

Anyone for time penalties in the sin bin, which exist in fairer sports like triathlon and rugby?
