Phelan loves a Hen do

MIKE PHELAN expects to make Jeff Hendrick his first signing for Hull after winning a bidding war with Burnley.

And Tigers caretaker-boss Phelan is also closing in on Southampton striker Jay Rodriguez on a season-long loan.

Hull have agreed to meet Derby’s £10million asking price for Ireland’s Euro 2016 midfield star Hendrick (above).

And Rodriguez will not be far behind, with £3.5m keeper David Marshall also on the way from Cardiff.
