-

BEN FOGLE AND STORM ooks like Storm the labrador will be a telly star, like predecessor Inca, who shot to fame with n on the hit BBC show Castaway in 2000. Ben, 43, says: “Storm loves the camera. She is te at home in front of the lens.” Ben doesn’t nd her stealing the limelight, adding: “She ngs optimism and happiness into our lives.” LOUIS SMITH AND LUNA

Luna the husky has as much energy as her owner.

Gymnast Louis, 27, says: “I remember going to pick her up and seeing straight away how she was too hyperactive and boisterous for other puppies.

“The naughtiest thing she has done is roll in fox poo – and then shake it off all over my girlfriend.”

What a stinker. LAURA WHITMORE AND MICK JAGGER

Strictly star Laura’s Maltipoo – Maltese and toy poodle cross – Mick Jagger is no beast of burden and even goes with her on modelling jobs.

Laura, 31, says: “He’s a people dog and loves coming on shoots with me. He’s very small too so easy to bring on the Tube and buses. He loves the studio.” She has taken him on holiday to Devon, but they could go further afield soon. She says: “He’s just got his pet passport.” ARLENE PHILLIPS AND LILY Lily was a rescue dog Arlene’s daughter Alana found in Cyprus.

Lily was so delighted to land on British soil she gave her new owners a greeting to remember. Former Strictly judge Arlene, 73, recalls: “My first memory is her leaping from the transport crate straight into my arms and just licking me all over with such excitement.

“She was so trusting and happy to have a home and someone to snuggle with. She is so loving and playful.” LEONA LEWIS AND FORREST

The X Factor winner may have been starring in the Broadway revival of Cats, but her heart belongs to her chihuahua cross, Forrest.

And the singer, 31, winner of the third X Factor series, knows how to keep him happy. She says: “He likes squeaky toys, but nothing beats a treat.” LESLEY NICOL WITH FREDDIE AND BERTIE

The Downton Abbey star’s beloved pets are Bertie, a Tibetan terrier, and Freddie, a poodle, and she says the two dogs have very different natures.

Lesley, 63, who played head cook Mrs Patmore in the hit BBC drama for five years, says: “Bertie is a show-off, dramatic and entertaining, while Freddie is shy, joyful and loving.” RUSSELL WATSON AND MUFFIN

Russell describes his dogs as his “unconditional friends” and says Muffin the shih tzu has made his mark – after mistaking his owner’s mobile for a bone. Russell says: “It still has teeth marks on it.” Meanwhile rescue pup Blaze, a greyhound, was a bundle of nerves when he first arrived. The 49-year-old tenor says: “It’s been really lovely watching him develop into a trusting, loyal and loving family pet.”
