Koeman: Lukaku is Barca fit

“There is a very good contact and appreciation between us. What comes after this season, no one knows.
“If Romelu was to play at Everton until the end of his career, I know he has left something. His potential is greater and higher than Everton as a final destination.”
Lukaku, 23, has scored seven goals in his 10 Premier League appearances for the Merseyside club this season and, in total, has netted 52 times in 105 games.
Koeman is a big fan and quoted the example of his Dutch compatriot Patrick Kluivert, who played for Barcelona after being a prodigy, like Lukaku, at Ajax.
And the former Southampton boss claims the ex-Chelsea man has the potential to emulate Kluivert by earning a move to the Nou Camp.
“Kluivert was also a striker who was quite young when he was first in the picture and had a fantastic career,” Koeman added. “Eventually, he played for Barca, which could happen with Lukaku.
“Lukaku is quite complete. He can hold a ball and be a target man and, because he is tall and physically strong, you can play directly with the long ball.
“Lukaku is potentially a great striker, and one who is only 23-years-old.”
