Brooke paved her way back to Cobbles

BROOKE Vincent has said she persuaded bosses to bring back her on-screen sister Helen Flanagan.

Helen admitted to her that she wanted a return, so Brooke passed the message on to show boss Kate Oates.

Brooke, who is herself coming back to the ITV soap after three months of theatre, said: “I had a conversati­on with Helen before I was leaving and she said, ‘I’d love to come back’.

“So I told Kate and then I heard something about Helen coming back and I was like, ‘Are you coming back?’ And she said, ‘Yeah, Kate rang’.

“I’m not saying I was the whole thing of it but I mentioned it to Kate.”

Brooke, 24, also told how her character Sophie and sister Rosie’s comeback scene will amuse fans.

She said: “It is quite funny. She says hello to everybody and then you just start seeing all these cases appear and Rosie appears in tow.” HELEN Flanagan is far from the first big name star to make a comeback after years away from a soap. Here are five other memorable returns.
