My Stephen ‘is a porn baron’
Mel B’s lawyers accuse her husband of making adult movies at his home
LAWYERS for Mel B have claimed her estranged husband Stephen Belafonte is filming porn movies.
The allegations were made at a hearing as the former Spice Girl seeks to maintain a ban on Belafonte having access to her children.
The singer’s lawyer Larry Bakman was pressed by LA judge Lawrence Piff to explain why Belafonte should not see their five-yearold daughter Madison and Mel’s daughter Angel. He said: “The evidence will show there are a large number of computers located within the possession of Mr Belafonte which show he is involved in running pornographic sites.
“There is the importation of women from other countries for purposes of that. There is possible money laundering.” He asked Judge Piff: “Where is a visitation going to take place? Is the child going to have access to computers while she’s with Mr Belafonte? Is it going to take place in a residence which he is using to film adult pornography?” Belafonte appeared upset at the allegations and his lawyer Grace Jamra told the judge there was an “ongoing smear campaign” against her client. She said: “It is, in fact, the petitioner who is harmful to the children.”
Mel’s lawyers have said they need up to 15 days in court to present the “tremendous amount of witnesses” in the case. They say they have been overwhelmed by people who will support Mel, 41, who alleges she was beaten and exploited during her 10-year marriage.
