Video footage from Villa’s 1-0 Second City derby win over Birmingham shows the Blues defender flooring Chester.
As Chester celebrates Gabby Agbonlahor’s second-half winner, Robinson fells the Villa captain by appearing to punch and trip him.
Dr Xia responded to the footage by tweeting: “That’s really unacceptable disgusting!@EFL @FA”.
The incident went unpunished by referee Simon Hooper, but the FA are now under pressure to act.
If Robinson is banned, it would be a nightmare for new Blues boss Harry Redknapp, whose side are 21st in the table ahead of their final two games.
Robinson could end up missing Saturday’s crunch home clash with Huddersfield and the final-day trip to Bristol City.
