NOT IF BUT BY HOW MANY?

Oumar’s victory vow in Tigers survival battle

OUMAR NIASSE has dismissed Sunderland, claiming his only concern is how many goals Hull can score against them.

Niasse is supremely confident the Tigers will beat the relegated Black Cats today at fortress KCOM and sees the game as a great opportunity to boost their poor goal difference.

Hull have won six and drawn one of their seven Premier League home matches under manager Marco Silva and Niasse cannot see Sunderland stopping them.

“We’re going to win our game, I think. My worry is how many goals,” said the 27-year-old on-loan striker from Everton.

“We need goals to change the goal difference a little bit.

“With all the respect I have for Sunderland, my worry is about how many goals we’re going to score.

“I live my life with this confidence and we have the same mentality in this team, especially at home.

“We showed that mentality against Watford. Even with 10 men for 65 minutes, we did it (won 2-0). So, with all respect, I’m not going to worry about the Sunderland game.”

City are slugging it out with Swansea to avoid going down and Niasse has asked his Everton pal Idrissa Gueye for a favour.

The Toffees face the Swans at the Liberty Stadium and Niasse knows a win for the visitors would be a massive help to them.

“I spoke with Idrissa Gueye two days ago and I said to him the only way he can help me now is to beat Swansea,” said the Senegal hitman.

“I’ve a feeling we can get the three points against Sunderland and the pressure is going to be more on Swansea. Everton lost their last game against Chelsea so I know how they’re going to prepare against Swansea. Hopefully they’re going to do a job and we’re also going to do ours.”

Niasse has rekindled his career at Hull, scoring five goals since his move in January, and would love to stay permanently if the Tigers stay up.

The African knows his first-team prospects are nil at Everton because boss Ronald Koeman does not rate him, and says he is fully committed to keeping the Tigers in the top flight.

“I can stay 100 per cent,” he said. “If everything is OK for me to stay with Everton and Hull also, I can stay.

“Everything is OK here. The staff, the players are all very nice. I’m feeling 100 per cent a Hull City player.”
