Cocoa farms in sweet deal
ALL Cadbury chocolate sold in the UK and Ireland is to use sustainably sourced cocoa to help boost Ghanaian farmers.
Unprofitable subsistence farming in the nation means youngsters are shunning the work and the average farmer is now 55.
Cadbury’s Steve Mann said: “Without cocoa there is no chocolate, without farmers there’s no cocoa.”
The Cocoa Life scheme will invest £310million across six nations over 10 years to secure supplies.
