KUM BACK AND LEND US A HAND

-

SRI LANKA take on mighty India at the home of one of their legends and wish he could do more than pass on helpful tips. Kumar Sangakkara (above) has been piling on the runs for Surrey at the Oval this summer and would not look out of place at the Champions Trophy, but his international days are over. “It’s very tempting to call him back,” said Lankan skipper Angelo Mathews (left). “I always ask him if he can come and play for us. “He’s had a dream career and it’s unfortunate we don’t have him any more. But he’s always having chats to us on how we should play in these conditions, especially on his home ground.”
