KEEPER Paul Robinson scored for Tottenham against Watford with an 83-yard free-kick on March 17, 2007.

His long ball forward bounced over England team-mate Ben Foster, who was in goal for the Hornets.

It was the third goal scored by a goalkeeper in Premier League history. The

ARSENAL’S new home, the Emirates Stadium, was officially opened on October 26, 2006, by the Duke of Edinburgh. other two were scored by Peter Schmeichel, for Aston Villa against Everton in 2001 and Brad Friedel, for Blackburn against Charlton in 2004. In both those cases, the teams they played for lost. Robinson (left) became the first keeper to score for the winning team in a Premier League match.

THE new Wembley was officially opened on March 17, 2007, more than six years after its predecesso­r was closed for redevelopm­ent.

FULHAM’S Moritz Volz scored the 15,000th goal in the history of the Premier League.

He scored against local rivals Chelsea and as a reward League sponsors Barclays donated £15,000 to the Fulham Community Sports Trust in Volz’ name.

ALAN BALL – the youngest member of England’s 1966 World Cup winning side – became the second member of that team to die on April 25, 2007. Ball, who played for Blackpool, Everton, Arsenal and Southampto­n, gained 72 caps for his country. He died of a heart attack, aged 61.
