Digital Today, Disc Monday In the vein of the venerable Hammer House of Horror, this film draws heavily on the European folk tales which inspired Dracula and Frankenstein. It’s beautifully designed on a grand scale and stunningly photographed, but the story is overstuffed with red herrings and needs a good dose of leeches.

Dane DeHaan plays a US executive trying to retrieve his reluctant boss from hydrotherapy treatment in a Swiss sanatorium. The all-toowelcoming governor is played by a wonderfully measured Jason Isaacs, best known as the wicked Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter films.
