Seahorse is rare delight
AN extremely rare breed of seahorse has been spotted off the UK coast.
Experts said the sighting of a short snouted seahorse led to “great excitement”.
Its numbers have been in sharp decline due to environmental changes.
The creature, usually seen in the Mediterranean, was photographed off the Devon coast by divers.
Mark Parry, of the National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth, said: “To see one healthy and enjoying the habitat is wonderful.”
